MUNTANYES DE PRADES EPIC TRAIL COSTA DAURADA
About this event
The Muntanyes de Prades Epic Trail leads runners into the rugged interior of Catalonia's Costa Daurada, far from the coastal beaches most associate with the region. These ancient mountains offer technical trails winding through Mediterranean forest and rocky outcrops, with three distances to match different ambitions. The 13km (744m elevation) and 24km (1,322m elevation) routes provide a genuine taste of the terrain, while the 49km tests experienced runners with 2,537m of climbing. November brings ideal running temperatures and autumn colours to the landscape. Prize money totaling €8,500 draws competitive fields, but the real attraction is discovering this lesser-known corner of northeastern Spain where trail running takes precedence over tourism.
