The Martin Mountain Festival brings trail running to the hills around Acquasanta in early November, when autumn colours paint the Italian countryside. The event offers two distances designed with accessibility in mind: a welcoming 5km route with 824 metres of climbing for those taking their first steps into mountain running, and a more substantial 21km course gaining 1,442 metres that still remains approachable for developing trail runners. Both routes explore the rolling terrain of this quiet corner of Italy, where the festival atmosphere adds warmth to the cooler season.
