Les 7 Monts takes runners through the Jura Mountains near Septmoncel, a region of rolling forested ridges and sweeping valley views. The 33-kilometre course weaves through mixed woodland, alpine pastures, and limestone plateaus, with 1,710 metres of climbing that delivers a solid challenge. It's suited to experienced runners looking to test themselves on varied terrain without stepping up to ultra distance. The October timing brings cooler temperatures and the possibility of running through forests touched by autumn colours. Set in the Haut-Jura Natural Park, the race offers a quieter corner of French trail running, away from the busier Alpine circuits.
