Le Trail Impérial de Bizy explores the historic grounds of Château de Bizy and the surrounding Norman countryside near Vernon, where the Seine meets rolling hills. With seven distances from 12km to 66km, the event caters to different ambitions while keeping the climbing moderate — even the longest route stays under 1,300 metres of elevation. Courses wind through the estate known as the 'Versailles of Normandy' before heading into the gentle, wooded landscape beyond. The late October date brings crisp autumn air and often a backdrop of golden leaves, making for atmospheric running on terrain that rewards steady pacing over technical skill.
