The Laveno SkyTrail takes runners into the hills above Lake Maggiore, where alpine trails meet lakeside views. The single 22-kilometre route packs in 1,576 metres of climbing through technical terrain — steep ascents, rocky sections, and passages that demand attention and sure footing. It's a proper mountain run for those comfortable with sustained elevation gain and varied surfaces. The course rewards effort with panoramic perspectives over the lake and surrounding peaks, particularly striking in early November when autumn colours still linger in the valleys. Based in the lakeside town of Laveno-Mombello, this event draws experienced trail runners who appreciate challenging alpine routes in a quieter corner of northern Italy.
