Lamastre Trail & Rando

Running since 1991, Lamastre Trail & Rando brings trail runners to the rural hills of Ardèche each September. The local organization maintains a network of permanent marked trails year-round, and race entries help support this ongoing work. Four distances explore the terrain around Lamastre, from a gentle 7km route with 365 metres of climbing — perfect for newcomers — to a challenging 30km course gaining nearly 1,500 metres. The routes mix forest paths and open hillsides, offering views across this peaceful corner of southeastern France. Experienced runners sweep each course to ensure no one gets left behind, and organizers greet every finisher regardless of pace. A post-race meal brings everyone together at the finish.
