LAlba dei Marsi

Set in the Marsican mountains of central Italy, L'Alba dei Marsi offers a demanding 30-kilometre loop with over 2000 metres of climbing. The route follows the historic European Trail E1, ascending through Monte Rozza to reach the summit of Monte Sevice at 2355 metres — the race's high point and a stunning viewpoint over the Abruzzo highlands. After a well-earned pause at the Capanna di Sevice refuge, runners descend through varied alpine terrain back to the start in Magliano de' Marsi's town square. This is a proper mountain challenge that rewards technical climbing skills and steady pacing on both the ascent and descent.
