The marathon route traverses the distinctive Iblean plateau, winding past ancient olive groves, carob trees, and the photogenic Donnafugata Castle before finishing beside the sea near Inspector Montalbano's famous house. The course's gentle downward profile makes it an appealing choice for those seeking a fast time with continuously changing scenery. Shorter options include a 15km trail to the castle and a walking route exploring nearby Ragusa.
