The Kaldoaivi Ultra Trail ventures into Finland's largest wilderness area, deep in the Arctic landscape near Nuorgam — the world's northernmost settlement. Three distances (57km, 114km, and 169km) cross remote terrain where the tundra stretches endless and services disappear. The 169km route stands among the planet's most northerly 100-milers, following trails through fell country with minimal shelter and long stretches between aid stations. Weather can shift quickly in these exposed conditions, and solitude becomes part of the experience. This July event suits experienced ultra runners who welcome self-sufficiency, raw Arctic wilderness, and the unique challenge of racing where few trails exist.
