The Írottkő Mountain Race explores the forested hills where Hungary meets Austria, offering four distances from 23 to 102 kilometres. The longest route starts at 2am, taking runners through the darkness before dawn reveals the Alpokalja foothills. The course literally crosses borders, linking nature parks and villages across two countries through dense forests, rolling slopes, and quiet valleys. A key checkpoint sits at Oberkohlstätten in Austria before the route returns to the finish in Bozsok, where panoramic views stretch across the border region.
