Granfondo Andalas brings the gravel revolution to Sardinia's northwest coast, starting from the medieval port town of Alghero. The main route covers nearly 137km of challenging strade bianche—those signature white gravel roads that wind through the island's rugged interior. Riders climb through cork oak forests, pass ancient nuraghi ruins, and traverse terrain that shifts from coastal Mediterranean scrub to weathered limestone plateaus. The shorter Cicloturistica option offers a 50km taste of Sardinian backroads for those building endurance. This event suits experienced riders ready for sustained climbs and technical descents on varied surfaces, all under the spring Sardinian sun.
