Gessi Beer Trail

The Gessi Beer Trail takes runners through the rolling hills surrounding Borgo Tossignano, a medieval village in Emilia-Romagna's Apennine foothills. The 18-kilometre course winds through forested trails and distinctive gypsum formations, climbing 946 metres along the way. The route showcases the region's geological character, including the chalky white rock formations that give the trail its name. The elevation gain makes this an intermediate challenge, rewarding those who tackle the Apennine climbs with a post-race celebration featuring local craft beer — a fitting way to wind down after a day on the trails.
