Set in the medieval village of Nant in the Aveyron, the Festival des Hospitaliers takes runners through the rugged Grands Causses, a UNESCO-listed landscape of limestone plateaus and deep river gorges. The 29km route offers 1,314 metres of climbing across ancient shepherd paths and rocky terrain — a solid technical challenge for those ready to test themselves on serious mountain trails. The 75km steps up considerably with over 3,200 metres of elevation gain, demanding strong climbing legs and mountain experience. Both courses showcase the region's distinctive geology and heritage, with the event's name honouring the area's Hospitaller history.
