Commonwealth War Cemeteries Trail Run - ed. 2

This memorial trail run traverses the Asiago Plateau, connecting Commonwealth war cemeteries and battlefields from the Great War. The route follows restored paths and sections of the old railway line through villages like Cesuna, Tresche Conca, and Canove. Runners pass through the monumental area of Granezza and Monte Corno, where British forces fought in 1917, and cemetery sites at Val Magnaboschi and Campiello. Three distances span the plateau: an 11-kilometre route with 351 metres of climbing, a 21-kilometre option gaining 472 metres, and a 42-kilometre marathon that climbs 1,109 metres through the entire historical landscape. The event thoughtfully combines trail running with remembrance, following paths restored by local associations through terrain that witnessed pivotal moments of the First World War.
