Set in the Sierra de Guadarrama near Madrid, this mountain race explores the rugged high-altitude terrain above Cercedilla. The 15-kilometre option climbs 680 metres through technical mountain paths, while the 30-kilometre route takes experienced runners on a serious alpine journey with 1,900 metres of elevation gain. Nearly 10 kilometres of the longer course unfold above 2,000 metres, linking exposed ridgelines and steep descents across the Guadarrama's characteristic granite landscape. The constantly shifting terrain — steady climbs giving way to technical descents — demands both fitness and mountain running skills. Late September timing typically brings crisp autumn conditions to these heights, with clear views when the weather cooperates.
