Capito Trail

Set in the volcanic landscapes of Haute-Loire, the Capito Trail explores a quieter corner of the Massif Central through two distinct routes. The 18-kilometre option takes on nearly 800 metres of climbing, while the 33-kilometre course pushes further with over 1,500 metres of elevation gain. Both wind through classic Auvergne terrain where forested paths open onto high plateaus, with views across ancient volcanic peaks. Late October timing means runners often find the forests dressed in autumn colours, adding atmosphere to an already striking landscape. The terrain and sustained climbing suit runners comfortable with technical trail and significant elevation.
