This 21-kilometre trail follows Spain's Mediterranean coastline from Alicante to Santa Pola, starting at the historic Palacio de la Ecma and tracing a route through El Palmeral Park before reaching the sea at Urbanova. The course stays close to the water for most of the journey, passing blue flag beaches at Arenales del Sol and Carabassí before finishing at Varadero Beach near Santa Pola's historic lighthouse. The terrain is flat and fast, making it one of Spain's most scenic coastal races, though the exposed shoreline means sun and wind can play a role.
