Västerås Swimrun

Västerås Swimrun offers a distinctive twist on the classic Swedish swimrun format, beginning with a boat launch into the calm waters of Lake Mälaren. The course weaves between freshwater swimming and shoreline trails, moving from peaceful archipelago landscapes toward the city center. Distances range from 16K to 28K, with both solo and team options available at each length. The warm, freshwater setting provides comfortable swimming conditions without the sting of saltwater or jellyfish. After the race, participants receive complimentary access to Kokpunkten Spa and professional photography to capture the day. The event awards ÖTILLÖ Merit Points for those collecting them.
