Ekerum Run

About this event

Ekerumsloppet takes runners through 10 kilometers of Öland's autumn forests and coastal trails, starting and finishing at Ekerum Resort. The course winds through Rällaskogen's rugged paths, where soft ground, exposed roots, and rolling terrain demand attention and sure footing. It's a technical route that rewards those comfortable reading trails rather than chasing flat speed. The setting—pine forests meeting Baltic coastline—offers that distinctly Swedish sense of quiet wilderness. Organized by local sports club Högby IF, the race keeps things low-key and community-minded. A 1.3 km youth category gives younger runners their own forest adventure. Everyone earns a finisher's medal, but the real prize is a morning spent in proper trail-running country.
