Set in the heart of Touraine's gentle countryside, this trail explores the rolling hills and vineyard-dotted slopes around Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine. The event offers three distances that wind through the area's characteristic landscape of wooded paths and open farmland. The 21km route provides a solid challenge with 250m of climbing, while the 12km and 6.6km options offer gentler introductions to trail running in this peaceful corner of the Loire Valley. Spring timing means mild temperatures and fresh greenery along the coteaux (hillsides) that give the event its name. The terrain is typical of the region — undulating rather than mountainous, with a mix of trail surfaces that reward steady pacing over technical scrambling.
