Sobrescobio Redes Trail
About this event
Set in the heart of Asturias' Natural Park of Redes, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Sobrescobio Redes Trail offers two technical routes through pristine mountain terrain. The Skyrace tackles 23.3km with 2100m of climbing, while the Speed Trail covers 17.5km with 1100m of ascent. Both routes wind through ancient beech forests, high mountain pastures, and rugged limestone peaks characteristic of the Cantabrian Mountains. The October date brings autumn colours to the forests and crisp mountain air. This is proper mountain trail running for those comfortable with significant elevation gain and technical terrain, set against the backdrop of one of northern Spain's most protected natural landscapes.
