High Coast Ultra tackles 130km of Sweden's UNESCO-listed High Coast, where ancient mountains meet the Baltic Sea. The course weaves through deep forests and along dramatic coastal cliffs, mixing technical trails with stretches of gravel and asphalt. The terrain is genuinely challenging, with substantial elevation changes testing even experienced ultra runners. Aid stations stock the usual ultra essentials plus local Swedish specialties to fuel the journey. Pacers can join for the final sections when legs get heavy. A shorter 70km option offers a slightly gentler introduction to this spectacular landscape. It's widely regarded as one of Sweden's toughest ultras, but the views — forests opening onto sea cliffs, the peculiar beauty of northern Sweden in midsummer — make every climb worthwhile.
