The Zurich Seville Marathon is one of Europe's fastest marathon courses, drawing thousands of runners to Spain's sun-drenched Andalusian capital each February. The completely flat, sea-level route winds through Seville's historic heart, passing landmarks like Plaza de España, the golden Torre del Oro, and María Luisa Park. With minimal elevation change and mild late-winter temperatures, it's built for speed—recent years have seen multiple course records fall, including sub-2:04 men's times. The event holds World Athletics Label Road Race status and has hosted the World Championships marathon. While the field includes elite athletes chasing qualification times, the excellent organization and scenic route through one of Spain's most beautiful cities makes it a memorable experience for the entire international field of over 12,000 runners.
