Elche-Alicante International Marathon

This point-to-point marathon connects two Spanish cities along the Costa Blanca, starting at Elche's historic Altamira Palace and finishing 42 kilometres later at Alicante's waterfront. The route traces a journey from Elche's UNESCO-listed palm groves — Europe's largest — toward the Mediterranean coast, passing through varied landscapes that shift from inland scenery to sea views. Organized by Club Atlético Montemar, the course offers steady support throughout the November date. A 10-kilometre option runs the final stretch into Alicante, giving newer runners a chance to experience the coastal finish at Pier 12 without the full marathon distance.
