William Wallace Running Festival
About this event
Set against the historic backdrop of Stirling, this festival offers something for serious distance runners and families alike. The main ultras follow a looped course that weaves past the Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle, and the Ochil Hills, with options to tackle 70km or 50km either solo or as part of a relay team. The relay format (teams of three or six) makes these longer distances more accessible while keeping the competitive spirit alive. For those after a quicker effort, the Braveheart 10km runs flat along the River Forth and crosses the iconic Stirling Old Bridge. Younger runners can join the one-mile Wallace Warriors fun run on a safe, traffic-free route. The looped course design means well-stocked aid stations and smooth relay exchanges throughout.
