Set in the historic town of Esztergom along the Danube Bend, Vaskapu Trail offers three welcoming distances perfect for those exploring trail running. The routes wind through forested hills with steady climbs ranging from 400 to 1145 metres of elevation, giving runners a satisfying challenge without overwhelming technicality. The 8km option provides a gentle introduction to trails, while the 23km route offers more substantial adventure through the scenic Hungarian landscape. Running here means combining natural trails with glimpses of one of Hungary's most culturally rich towns, where castle ruins watch over the river below.
