UltraBirken takes runners on a 60-kilometre journey through the forests and hills between Sjusjøen and Lillehammer, following varied terrain that demands both stamina and adaptability. The course winds past mountain ridges, through forest trails, and over open plateaus before descending the famous Birkebeinerbakken hill into Lillehammer. With over 1,000 metres of climbing spread across technical sections and runnable stretches, this route rewards those who pace themselves wisely. The finish at Håkons Hall, site of the 1994 Winter Olympics, adds a touch of sporting history to an already memorable mountain crossing.
