Ultra Trail Barcelona brings together mountain runners from across the globe in the scenic hills north of Barcelona. Based in Sant Fruitós de Bages, the event offers five distances that showcase the region's varied terrain — from gentle valleys to rugged peaks dotted with medieval castles and ancient churches. The flagship 61K tests experienced runners with nearly 2000m of climbing, while shorter options like the 26K provide a taste of Catalan trail running. The 11K and 6K routes welcome newcomers to discover why this corner of Catalonia has become a favourite on the European trail calendar. Spring timing means pleasant temperatures and the countryside in full bloom.
