Trail de Chimay

The Trail de Chimay takes runners through the rolling countryside of southern Belgium, where forest paths and rural landscapes create a surprisingly varied terrain. With four distances ranging from 11km to 50km, the event caters to different experience levels, though the longer routes demand solid climbing legs with over 1,400 meters of elevation on the ultra distance. The town of Bourlers provides a charming base in the Chimay region, known for its Trappist brewery heritage. Spring timing means fresh greenery and mild conditions, ideal for tackling the technical sections that wind through this lesser-known corner of the Ardennes.
