About this event

The Toledo Marathon takes runners through one of Spain's most storied cities, where Roman, Moorish and Christian heritage converge in narrow medieval lanes. The course winds past ancient synagogues, the imposing Alcázar fortress and the cathedral's spires, all perched above the Tagus River gorge. Runners can tackle the full 42.195 kilometres solo, split it with a partner in the pairs format, or form a relay team of four. The cobbled streets and elevation changes demand experience and careful pacing, but few marathons offer such a journey through living history — every kilometre passes another architectural treasure in this UNESCO World Heritage site.
