The Sowiogórski Festiwal Biegowy brings trail running to the scenic Sowie Mountains of southwestern Poland. This welcoming festival offers five distances, from a gentle 7km introduction with 188 metres of climbing to the demanding 84km Don Jon ultra, which climbs over 3,400 metres through forest trails and rolling Sudetes terrain. Between these bookends sit 15km, 31km, and 54km options, giving runners of all levels a chance to explore this lesser-known mountain range. The mid-autumn timing means crisp mountain air and the possibility of golden fall colours painting the landscape, while the festival atmosphere keeps things relaxed and friendly despite the challenging elevation on the longer routes.
