13. Bieg Kreta

The Bieg Kreta traces a legendary triangle through Poland's Sudetes mountains, offering one of Europe's most demanding mountain challenges. The longer route covers 383 kilometres with over 11,000 metres of climbing across 13 distinct mountain ranges, while the 148-kilometre option tackles nearly 5,000 metres of ascent. Both courses are unmarked, requiring runners to navigate using GPS tracks through remote peaks and mountain trails. Entry is highly selective, limited to just 10 experienced ultrarunners who meet strict qualification criteria including recent ultra finishes and proven navigation skills. Taking place in mid-April from Sobótka, this is a true test of mountain craft, endurance, and self-reliance in the Sudetes.
