Skogvokteren Ultra

Skogvokteren Ultra draws an 85-kilometre loop through the forested highlands that form a green belt around Porsgrunn and Skien in Norway's Telemark region. The route threads between backcountry wilderness and the edges of town, following narrow trails worn by hikers and wildlife through rolling, varied terrain. With 3,328 metres of climbing spread across technical singletrack, this is a serious undertaking for experienced ultra runners comfortable navigating remote forest sections. The course starts and finishes at Porsgrunn Town Hall, completing a full circuit of the area's distinctive landscape where dense woodland meets urban life.
