Set in the rolling countryside of South Yorkshire, the Roche Abbey Ramble winds through woodland paths, rural tracks, and open fields surrounding the peaceful ruins of a medieval abbey. The undulating terrain offers a proper challenge without being overly technical, making it accessible across different experience levels. Four distance options range from a 10.7km route suitable for those building confidence on trails, up to a full marathon for seasoned runners. The post-race atmosphere captures the friendly spirit of grassroots trail running, with homemade cake and hot drinks shared near the historic abbey ruins — a perfect way to recover while soaking in the setting's quiet beauty.
