About this event
Roadford Lake opens its usually private waters for this spring swim event, offering something for everyone from first-timers to experienced swimmers. Set in the Devon countryside, the lake provides clear spring conditions across distances ranging from 500m to 5km. The May timing captures that sweet spot when the water has warmed enough to be inviting, but the lakeside remains peaceful before the full rush of summer. Lakeside camping turns the swim into a proper weekend escape, letting participants soak up the natural surroundings beyond just race day. It's an accessible introduction to open water swimming in a genuinely scenic setting that few get to experience.
