About this event
Roadford Lake opens its normally restricted waters for this autumn swim event, offering a rare chance to explore one of the UK's most scenic inland lakes. The September timing means warmer water temperatures and often calmer conditions than earlier in the season. Swimmers can choose from five distances ranging from 500m to 5km, making it accessible for those new to open water swimming as well as more experienced lake swimmers. The setting is peaceful and expansive, with the lake surrounded by rolling Devon countryside. Optional lakeside camping allows participants to make a weekend of it, enjoying the natural surroundings beyond just race day.
