Psotkov memorial

About this event

The Psotkov Memorial is one of Europe's oldest high-mountain trail races, held each October around Štrbské Pleso in the High Tatras. This historic event honours friends lost on Mt. Everest and draws around 200 mountain runners and climbers each autumn. Both distances follow marked trails through Tatra National Park — the 25-kilometre route climbs 1,534 metres, while the 38-kilometre option tackles 2,507 metres of ascent. It's a serious mountain challenge requiring alpine experience, set against the dramatic backdrop of Slovakia's highest peaks. A dedicated team of volunteers makes this tribute race possible each year.
