The Portofino Marathon traces one of Italy's most stunning coastlines, winding along the Ligurian Riviera between medieval villages and azure waters. Runners follow the dramatic contours of Mount Portofino, passing the ancient Cervara Abbey, the emerald Bay of Paraggi, and Portofino's famous harbour square. The marathon-distance route combines flat coastal stretches with rolling terrain and technical curves, rewarding the effort with sweeping Mediterranean views at every turn. Pastel-coloured villas cling to hillsides above the sea, while the scent of pine and salt air accompanies runners into Santa Margherita Ligure.
