About this event

The Obermain Marathon follows the scenic Obermain river valley in northern Bavaria, offering three distances that cater to different running levels. The full marathon and half marathon wind through the region's gentle countryside, while the 12.5km route provides a perfect introduction to road racing. Set in the quiet town of Wiesen, this springtime event showcases the rural charm of Franconia, with course profiles that suit steady pacing more than speed. The smaller field size creates an intimate racing atmosphere, and the flat to gently rolling terrain makes for consistent splits across all distances.
