Set in the Bavarian Alps near the Austrian border, MOUNTAINMAN Reit im Winkl offers trail runners an unusually inclusive range of distances through alpine terrain. The event welcomes newcomers with a gentle 10km route featuring just 343 metres of climbing, perfect for those testing trail running for the first time. From there, runners can choose from 26km, 31km, 52km or the demanding 73km ultra, which climbs 3,586 metres through the surrounding peaks. The varied terrain and five distance options make this a rare event where friends of different abilities can share the same race day experience in the beautiful mountain setting of Reit im Winkl.
