MKTECH Kysuce trail

About this event

Set in the Kysuce region of northern Slovakia, this 26-kilometre trail race with 1000 metres of climbing takes runners through forests and rolling hills in a quieter corner of the country. The course suits those with some mountain experience, offering varied terrain without the crowds of better-known Alpine events. Late September brings cooler temperatures and the first touches of autumn colour to the hillsides. The event provides a chance to explore Slovakia's distinctive landscape, where forested ridges and pastoral valleys create a landscape quite different from the high peaks further south. A rewarding challenge for runners ready to venture beyond the usual trail running circuits.
