About this event
The Maga Circe Marathon connects two coastal towns south of Rome along the Tyrrhenian Sea, with the full 42-kilometre marathon starting at San Felice Circeo's harbour and finishing in Sabaudia's main square. The paved route rolls gently through three protected dune areas, gaining just 180 metres while hugging the coastline. Runners seeking variety can opt for the 29-kilometre route, which branches through Circeo National Park's forest trails with some gravel sections. Shorter distances include a 10.6-kilometre race and a family-friendly 2.5-kilometre walk, all finishing in Sabaudia. Aid stations serve local buffalo mozzarella, and February's mild Mediterranean temperatures make for comfortable running conditions along this scenic stretch of protected coastline.
