L’assaut du Maquisard

Set in the rolling Ardennes near Theux, L'Assaut du Maquisard honors the wartime Resistance with a monument to the Unknown Maquisard crowning the signature climb. This multi-format event offers something for different ambitions: trails from 5km to 40km, cycling routes up to 70km, and demanding duathlons combining both disciplines. The courses weave through forested hills and quiet roads, with the tough ascent of Col du Maquisard serving as the climactic test. Starting from La Reid's agricultural college, the event welcomes walkers on gentle routes while challenging experienced runners and cyclists with steep, technical terrain. The mix of formats and distances makes it an interesting choice for groups with varying abilities.
