Haldon Night

Haldon Night turns winter evening trail running into an adventure through Haldon Forest's atmospheric woodland. Taking place in mid-January, the event welcomes runners of all levels with four distances — from a 1km taster up to a 10km challenge. Each route follows a single loop through the forest, starting and finishing at the same point, with headtorches lighting the way as trees cast shifting shadows overhead. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere includes fun category prizes and even a best-hat competition. It's an ideal introduction to night running for newcomers, while the 10km gives experienced trail runners a proper workout in the dark.
