Exe to Axe Race - 22 miles
About this event
The Exe to Axe Race follows the stunning East Devon coastline for 22 miles, linking two rivers through a landscape that earned UNESCO World Heritage status. Starting from the mouth of the River Exe near Budleigh Salterton, runners traverse the dramatic red cliffs and pebble beaches that define this stretch of the Jurassic Coast. The route includes challenging coastal climbs and technical descents, with the finish at the River Axe in Seaton. While the terrain demands experience and solid hill fitness, the ever-changing seascape and geological wonders make every mile rewarding. Runners can tackle the full distance solo or share it as a relay team, both options requiring advanced trail skills.
