This demanding ultra takes runners through the remote landscapes of Spain's La Mancha region, where aid stations sit 30 to 40 kilometres apart and self-sufficiency matters. The route weaves through Cabañeros National Park and surrounding wilderness, offering genuine isolation broken only by passages through small villages where locals turn out to cheer. The terrain mixes trails and dirt roads across expansive hunting estates and protected lands. Runners tackle either the 85-kilometre route with 1,356 metres of climbing or the full 170-kilometre challenge with 2,439 metres of elevation gain. The semi-supported format and sparse infrastructure make this one for experienced ultrarunners comfortable managing long stretches between resupply.
