About this event
Dawlish Warren's sea swim takes advantage of the Devon coastline's sheltered waters, making it an ideal spot for open water swimming. The event offers three distances — 750m, 1500m, and 3K — all following a triangular course that starts from the beach and finishes at the steps. The 1500m swim consists of two laps, while the 3K extends to three laps with an additional buoy placed further out to sea. Teignmouth Surf Life Saving Club provides safety support throughout, allowing swimmers to focus on their stroke and the rhythm of the waves. The course setup keeps swimmers in clear sight of the shoreline, with regular turns at the buoys breaking up the distance into manageable sections.
