Dalmeny Trail Half Marathon

Set on the historic Dalmeny Estate near Edinburgh, this half marathon takes runners through a varied tapestry of Scottish countryside. The route winds through ancient woodlands, follows peaceful riverside stretches, and crosses rolling farmland, all within private estate grounds and the nearby Cammo Nature Reserve. Starting from South Queensferry, the course offers classic autumn trail running with technical sections that reward experience. Around 400 runners typically take part, making it competitive without losing its welcoming atmosphere. The event is well-supported throughout, with regular water stations and a dedicated crew. Entry fees support the local RNLI lifeboat station, adding purpose to the challenge.
