Community Traverse

About this event

The Community Traverse follows the final stretch of Wainwright's legendary Coast to Coast path, covering 77 kilometres from Ingleby Arncliff to Robin Hood's Bay on the North Sea coast. This point-to-point ultra takes runners through the Cleveland Hills across rolling ridgelines, exposed moorland and ancient woodland, with terrain shifting underfoot throughout the day. The 1,740 metres of elevation gain is spread across varied, often technical ground, making this a serious undertaking for experienced trail runners. The route showcases North Yorkshire's landscape in all its raw beauty, ending with the satisfying sight of the sea after a long day in the hills.
