Cairngorms Trail Race Festival

Set in the Cairngorms, the UK's largest national park, this trail race festival offers something for runners at every level. The routes wind through classic Scottish Highland terrain — think ancient forests, mountain trails, and sweeping views across wild, open landscapes. Three distances are on offer: a 5K with 150m of climbing for those testing the trail waters, a 10K stepping up to 290m, and a half marathon covering 520m of elevation for more experienced runners. The setting alone makes this one special, with the raw beauty of the Scottish wilderness providing a memorable backdrop whether it's a first trail race or a familiar challenge.
